An Idea

So today is Easter Monday, a public holiday for aussies and probably many other people around the world. Pretty pointless holiday I think. I mean like, we’ve already had Good Great Friday off work, that following Saturday was double pay for anyone who did work or at least it was for me (I still begged suckered into showing up and working) and then we have the Sunday and this Monday. I guess for some it’d be welcome to have Monday off too but I think the weekends just dragged on for too long.

So you’ve guessed that I spent the day achieving a level of boredom never seen by the people of Earth before. Correct! So as I go about my day doing chores menial grunt-like activities I was thinking up projects I might be able to work on during my free time when I’m bored. I hop on the net and stumble through what seems half of the internet before finding myself reading about iPhone application development. Then it hit me knocked me out.

I’ve decided to eventually come around to working on an ORPG for the iPhone. Won’t be anything fancy or great, the graphics won’t even be 3d. The idea is to develop something similar to those RPG Battle systems you see on the commercial bulletin board software, without the forum posting. It is definitely possible to do this as a webpage through PHP, MySQL and man-hours. This would allow PvP since its online though the app would be useless without an internet connection. More thinking to do.
